LGTB Network Event, February 2nd 2012

Within a team, you will develop a takeover strategy of a French wine company and compete against other teams of talented top students. To equip you with the right tools, you will spend one day in class at INSEAD, one of the world's leading business schools. At INSEAD, you will learn more about evaluating an M&A transaction. The business course will run from Sunday, November 13, to Friday, November 18, 2011.
Departures from Paris will be on the afternoon of Sunday, November 13. After a briefing at the BCG office in Paris, you will get to work with your team. After four busy days, you will present your findings to the board.
On Friday, November 18, you will take the train back to Amsterdam.

Selection

A deep dive into M&A
Our BCG Corporate Finance Unlimited Workshop will take place on 11-12 February 2012, in Paris.

Together with BCG consultants from our dynamic Corporate Finance practice and 50 students from top European universities, you will discover the full extent of mergers and acquisitions—from the initial idea to closing the deal. Based on a real BCG project, you will gain insight into a real-life transaction and have the opportunity to apply the knowledge you have acquired so far in a broader corporate finance context. You will analyze the strategic rationale of the deal, assess the target company, quantify the potential synergies, and structure the execution of the transaction. Along the way, you will learn the methodologies and approach of the world's leading strategy consultancy and face new challenges that will allow you to grow further.

BCG regularly organizes knowledge seminars for business people. These seminars provide a good opportunity to acquire knowledge in a particular sector. Recently we organized a Young Executive Seminar of the Electric Car.

Our next seminar takes place at our office in Amsterdam on June 7, 2011. During this event you will learn more about our recent study of the impact of internet in the Netherlands.

Many sectors fundamentally change due to the rise of the internet. Google Netherlands therefore asked The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to research the character and size of economic activities on the internet in the Netherlands. The goal is to initiate a discussion on the importance and future developments of the internet in the Netherlands.
